Parent/Guardian Responsibilities
1.Parents/Guardians should understand that Plainfield Aquatic Club is not a recreational swim team and that all swimmers are expected to swim competitively in the scheduled meets during the season
2. Parents must pay all financial obligations by the due dates
3. Parents must volunteer for at least 3 meets during the season
4. Parents must give 48 hour notification to the coaching staff if their swimmer(s) will not be attending the meet
5. Please encourage your swimmer(s) to drink plenty of water and avoid heavy consumption of junk food, candy, fast food, and soda.
Swimmer Responsibilities
1. Have fun!
2. Swimmers must come to at least 2 practices a week.
3. Swimmers must avoid eating A LOT of candy, junk food, and drinking soda. Drinking water and eating healthy will increase your energy level.
4. Swimmers must always give 110% in practice and at meets. This does not mean you must win every race. It means that you must always give your best
5. Swimmers should understand that Plainfield Aquatic Club is not a recreational swim team and that all swimmers are expected to swim competitively in the scheduled meets during the season
6. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Whether win or lose, always congratulate your opponents on a good race!
7. Swimmers must be flexible. You will be entered in events you like and some you may dislike. You must always do your best in each event.
8. Swimmers are expected to be on their best behavior at swim meets. You are representatives of the Plainfield Aquatic Club and it is important that you know that your actions & behavior are reflective on the team. Examples of inappropriate behavior are but not limited to: foul or obscene language, stealing, fighting, disrespect to adults and peers, missing events due to playing around, & poor attitudes.
